Meet Mia Davison

Mia Davison is a British classical flautist from Buckinghamshire, active as a soloist and chamber musician. She has performed widely in recital and orchestral settings, including appearances at venues such as Holywell Music Room, New College, Queen’s College, and Magdalen College, and was previously selected for the Warden’s Recital at New College in recognition of her musicianship.

She previously completed a Bachelor of Music at New College, University of Oxford, where she held both academic and instrumental scholarships throughout her studies. During her time at Oxford, Davison performed with ensembles including the University of Oxford Orchestra, Orchestra VOX, Oxford Opera Society, Oxford Young Soloists Ensemble, and Oxford Sinfonietta, developing a broad orchestral and chamber profile. She has also appeared as a soloist in recital and showcase performances, including works such as Kilar’s Sonatina.

She has participated in advanced training and masterclasses with leading artists including Adam Walker and Linda Taube, supported by the Exuberant Foundation. Her recent engagements include performances in the Royal College of Music production of The Cunning Little Vixen, a composition collaboration with the Ralph Vaughan Williams Society, and upcoming appearances with the Royal College of Music Symphony Orchestra under Ryan Bancroft.
