International Artist Society General Policy
I. Eligibility
The Resonance Ensemble Programs (the “Program”) are open to:
Independent solo musicians, performing artists, and ensembles of all ages and nationalities.
Applicants not signed to a major record label or its affiliates/subsidiaries.
Notes:
Applicants under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian’s endorsement.
Applicants represent and warrant that all submitted information is true, complete, and accurate. Misrepresentation may result in immediate disqualification.
Applications are reviewed separately by age and repertoire categories.
Audition materials are first screened by the Audition Committee and final decisions are made by a panel of professional musicians and teachers.
II. How to Apply
Applicants must submit:
Completed Online Application Form
Video recording links (YouTube, Bilibili, or approved platform)
Biography (≤200 words) via form or email to cs@intartsociety.org. Include past participation in the Program, festivals, or other public events. IAS may edit or reformat biographies for recital materials.
Portrait photo via form or email for marketing and website use
Application fee (non-refundable)
Additional Notes:
Participants may submit one or multiple pieces per repertoire category; each entry requires a separate application and fee.
Repertoire cannot be changed after submission.
All submissions must be complete, playable, and properly labeled.
IAS is not responsible for lost, damaged, incomplete, misdirected, or late submissions.
All submissions become the property of IAS and will not be returned.
Certificates of Recognition are awarded to performers who participate in the recital or request the Performer Package. Non-participating winners retain official recognition in results letters.
III. Application Fee
Paid via PayPal or Square.
All application, recital, and photo fees are final and non-refundable, including in cases of technical failure, cancellation, or withdrawal.
IV. Repertoire Requirements
Music or costumes deemed inappropriate for performance by reviewers will be disqualified.
V. Invitation & Recital Information
Invitations and feedback are sent via email.
Selected performers attend rehearsals at the venue.
Recital and Photo Fees cover participant admission, certificate, and 20–30 professional digital photos.
Participants cover all personal expenses related to the recital.
Parental Responsibility: Parents or legal guardians of participants under 18 are responsible for supervision and safety during all Program activities.
VI. Media & Intellectual Property
Applicants retain all rights to their submitted repertoire. IAS does not claim ownership of submitted pieces.
By submitting materials, applicants grant IAS a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide license to use videos, photos, and other submitted content for marketing, promotion, and archival purposes.
IAS owns all Program-related intellectual property, including trademarks, logos, promotional materials, and website content.
VII. Indemnification & Limitation of Liability
By applying, participants agree that:
They release, waive, and hold harmless IAS, its officers, directors, employees, agents, affiliates, and contractors from any liability, claims, or damages arising from participation, rehearsal, recital, submission of materials, or use of prizes.
They will indemnify IAS against any third-party claims related to their participation.
IAS is not responsible for technical failures, lost, late, illegible, damaged, or misdirected submissions, or errors in website or online systems.
Participation is at the applicant’s own risk.
VIII. Conduct
Participants must comply with all IAS policies, Program Rules, and venue regulations. IAS may disqualify or remove any participant who:
Violates Program Rules or IAS policies
Tamper with submissions or Program operations
Acts in an unsportsmanlike, disruptive, threatening, or harassing manner
Attempts to compromise IAS systems may result in legal action.
IX. Force Majeure
IAS is not liable for delays, cancellations, or changes due to events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, or other unforeseen circumstances.
X. Privacy
By participating, applicants grant IAS the right to use:
Name, mailing address, phone, and email for Program administration
Personal information for publicity and promotion in any media without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law

XI. Termination & Amendments
IAS reserves the right to terminate, modify, or suspend the Program or this Policy at any time, with or without notice.
XII. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
This Policy and all Program matters are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois.
Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Illinois, or through binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association rules.
XIII. Language Discrepancy
If there is any conflict between this Policy and other Program materials, this Policy prevails.
XIV. Applicant Representations
By submitting an application, participants (individually or as part of an ensemble) confirm they have read, understood, and agreed to this Policy and the Program Rules.
