Meet David Råberg-Schrello

David Råberg-Schrello is a London-based cellist whose career spans orchestral performance, chamber music, and solo work. Born in Stockholm into a family of professional orchestral musicians, he began studying the cello at six. He trained at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm before completing his Master’s degree at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London under Louise Hopkins and Ursula Smith.

David has performed with some of London’s most distinguished ensembles, including the Royal Opera House Orchestra, the Academy of St Martin in the Fields, and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment. He has held principal and section positions with Southbank Sinfonia (now Sinfonia Smith Square) and the London City Philharmonic, and has appeared as a guest soloist with orchestras in the UK and Sweden.

Alongside his live performance work, David is the founder of Schrello Classic, a platform dedicated to bringing classical cello to contemporary audiences through recordings, arrangements, and digital performance. His debut CD was released in 2024, and his content across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and Spotify reaches over 100,000 followers worldwide.
